01 Mar Bricata Announces Gene Savchuk as Principal and Chief Technology Officer
Columbia, MD, March 1, 2016 – Bricata LLC, developers of high-performance network intrusion prevention security systems, today announced that Gene Savchuk has joined the company as Principal and Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Mr. Savchuk will lead product strategy to further fortify Bricata’s position as the preeminent provider of high-visibility enterprise security solutions.

Prior to joining Bricata, Mr. Savchuk co-founded Fidelis; here, he served as Chief Technology Officer and primary architect. Gene was instrumental in leading the strategic vision of Fidelis’ products in the emerging market category. His experience helping to shape industry standards is unparalleled, as is his experience working with leading industry analysts and customers.
Mr. Savchuk’s entrepreneurial spirit helped him take InforMax Inc., a bioinformatics company, from a startup to a public company with over 300 employees and a global presence before joining Fidelis. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
